What's Your Membership Includes
A membership is your school's subscription. It decides which courses your classes can use, how many student places you have, and until when.
Everything else on KnowItAll Ninja sits inside it. Classes belong to a membership, and so do the courses those classes can be given.
Courses
There are two kinds of membership, and they behave differently when you set up a class.

| Single or multi-course | The class is given the membership's courses automatically |
On an All Inclusive membership this is deliberate. A Year 10 group and a Year 12 group study different things, so each class gets only what it needs, and students are not shown a library of courses that are not theirs.
If a course you expect is not available when you open the Courses tab, it is almost always because that course is not part of your subscription.
Student places
Your membership has a fixed number of seats. See Student Seats for exactly what uses one, because it is not simply the number of names on your registers.
How long it lasts
Every membership has an expiry date, shown on the Classes page next to the number of courses.
When it passes, teachers keep their accounts but classes stop being accessible. See Expiry for what happens and how long you have.
More than one membership
A school can hold several memberships, for example a separate subscription for a different qualification. Each one has its own courses, seats and expiry date, and its own set of classes.
Use the dropdown in the blue bar at the top of the Classes page to switch between them. Everything below the bar, including the class list, belongs to the membership you have selected.
Screens in these guides use a demonstration account, so your own school name, courses and dates will be different.
