Taking Quizzes

All lessons end with a quiz. It checks what stuck, and your score is what your teacher sees.

Before you start

The start screen tells you what you need to know: how many questions there are, and if you have taken it before, your best score so far and what you would need to beat it.

Answering questions

Work through the questions and submit your answers. Question types vary, and include multiple choice, fill in the blank, matching and sorting.

With fill in the blank questions, spelling matters. Read what you have typed before submitting.

Your results

When you finish you see your score, which questions you got right, and which you did not.

Read through the ones you got wrong. The correct answer is shown with an explanation, and this is the part that actually improves your next attempt.

There is also a Revise this lesson button, which takes you back to the lesson slides. If your score was low, that is the right next step before trying again.

Taking a quiz again

You can retake quizzes, and you are encouraged to.

Your best score is the one that counts. Retaking cannot lower your mark, so there is no risk in trying again.

Your teacher can see both your first score and your best score. Going from a low first attempt to a high best attempt looks good, because it shows you went back and learned the material rather than giving up.

Points and levels

Passing a quiz earns points, and more points for a better score. Points build your level and place you on your class leaderboard.

If a quiz will not load

Check your internet connection and reload the page. Quizzes save as you go, so you should not lose answers you have already submitted.

If the results screen seems stuck while recording, give it a moment before reloading, as it is saving your score.
