Joining a Class

Your teacher will give you one of three things: a class code, a QR code, or a link. All three do the same job.

If you have a class code

Sign in to your account. If you do not have one yet, register first.
Go to Join a class, or click Join another class on your dashboard.
Type the code your teacher gave you.
Click to join.

The code is not case sensitive, so it does not matter whether you type capitals.

You go straight into the class, and your teacher's courses appear under Courses immediately.

If you have a QR code

Point your phone or tablet camera at the code your teacher is showing. It opens the join page with the class already filled in, so you only need to sign in.

This is usually the fastest way.

If you have a link

Click it. It works the same way as the QR code, with the class already selected.

If you are not signed in, you are asked to sign in first and then join automatically.

Joining more than one class

You can be in several classes at once, for example if you study two subjects that both use KnowItAll Ninja. Use Join another class on your dashboard and enter the second code.

All your courses appear together under Courses, whichever class they came from.

If it does not work

"That code was not recognised." Check for mistyped characters. The letter O and the number 0 are easy to confuse. If it still fails, the code may have been changed, so ask your teacher for the current one.

"This class is not accepting new students." Your teacher has turned off self-joining. Ask them to add you directly.

Nothing happens after signing in. Try the code again from your dashboard using Join another class.

Leaving a class

You cannot remove yourself from a class. This is deliberate, so that registers stay accurate. If you are in the wrong class, ask your teacher to remove you.

Screens in these guides use a demonstration account, so your own name, courses and scores will be different.
